Summer tour 2017

A successful summer trip from 1 to 2 July!

Meeting point was on the 1st July at 8:00 am in the "Berghotel Tulbingerkoge! at Wienerwald. After a rich breakfast buffet at 9.45am our two-day trip began.

14 cats drove down in an impressive panorama in serpentines, direction "Lunz am See". The first stop was not scheduled. A Jaguar MKII had a tire rim. We continued our journey through an idyllic landscape. Thanks to the speedy ride of our Jaguar "Head Wolfgang", we reached the "Hohensteinstube", which at 1000 m above sea level gave a wonderful panoramic view. After sufficient food we drove together. Jaguar MKII and final driver "Karl" (who helped with the tire) came back to us. After all, we still had a distance of about 166 km to "Bad Ischl". Neither the small accident at a coffee break in the inn "Gasthaus zur Einkehr" where a fellow traveler with a glass cut into the fingers, still the incipient rain in the Salzkammergut could our mood not dull. Finally, "All" arrived the hotel "Zum goldenen Schiff" at our last stop of the day. The boss of the house kindly received us and immediately gave us parking in the courtyard. The dinner was taken in the about 500 years old "Weinhaus Attwenger", one of the most beautiful houses of Bad Ischl. After a good meal, a small surprise in the form of a "Zaunerstollens" a gift from the club and in a humid atmosphere the day ended and we were looking forward to tomorrow. On the next light rainy day, after breakfast, some fellow travelers visited the Kaiservilla. They admired the very personal and private apartments of "Emperor Franz Joseph and Sisi". Next stop was a lunch in the 25 km distant Taunkirchen. The "Spitzvilla" is the most chilliest restaurant and lounge place on "Traunsea". Unfortunately, it still rained, so we could enjoy the whole thing only conditionally. A Jaguar S-Type did not risk any further due to problems of the cooling system and informed the ÖAMTC at a petrol station, after which he went home alone. The second stage of the day took us to the "Stift Seitenstetten", some 93 km away, in the "Mostviertel" region. After a few construction sites and diversions we came into the beautiful 900-year-old diocese. After a brief inspection, the weather was still cheerful, we continued our journey cheerfully. In our third and last station we came to 86 km to Weissenkirchen in the Wachau. The route led impressively, always along the Danube to the "Kirchenwirt". In the very traditional and hospitable location, located directly on the Danube, we were able to review the wonderful impressions at dinner.

Dear Marion, dear Wolfgang! On behalf of all participants a big thank you for the best organized trip.

We enjoyed it very much for a next time look forward Eva and Karl.
