Baden, 29.07.2018: Under the title 'Traben in Baden - up close ...' a Trotting race day of the Baden Trabrennverein took place on a wonderful summer Sunday at the Trotting Track Baden. In a total of nine races horses competed with their drivers for victory. The spectators feasted on the edge of the track and watched the competitions with excitement. Partly under high tension when bets were made.
The highlight of the supporting program was a vehicle corso with 24 selected vehicles. The Corso was organized by the Jaguar Daimler Owners Sports & Touring Car Club (JDOST) and the friendly MG Owners Club was also invited to attend the event. Between 2 and 2:30 pm, the Corso participants arrived and placed the vehicles inside the racing oval - clearly visible from all grandstand seats. Afterwards, JDOST members and friends gathered in the specially reserved VIP Terrace Lounge. With champagne reception and a short speech welcomed JDOST chairman Mr. Wolfgang Schöbel the visitors and gave hints to the process. At 3.30 pm it was called 'The Games Can Start' and the first exciting race started. After the fifth race, the vehicle Corso started with a variety of Jaguar, MG and other British classic models. Approximately every 10 seconds, the vehicles drove over the trotting track past the spectators. The optical eye candy - British oldies and youngsters - was acoustically accompanied by presenter Mr. Wolfgang Schöbel. The sixth race, the Grand Prix of the "Jaguar Daimler Owners Sports and Touring Car Club", started at 5:50 pm. Nine horse-sulky-driver combinations rushed off - but only one can win. The race win this time went to the start number 3 the horse Juliano MO with the driver Mr. Mario Zanderigo. Afterwards, the award ceremony took place - Mr. Wolfgang Schöbel and Mr. Andreas Icha from the JDOST board gave the brilliant winner the first prize.
Other cool drinks and culinary delights sounded like the racing Sunday. A very interesting, exciting event organized by the Baden Trabrennverein came to an end in the evening. The JDOST board would like to thank the Baden Trabrennverein again for the invitation and the professional organization of the event, for the participants of the MG Owners Club for the participation in the vehicle corso, for our sponsor "Denzel-Erdberg" for the loan of the beautiful Jaguar F-Type R-Dynamic and, of course, the JDOST members and friends who contributed their vehicles to the Corso and created a great atmosphere in the VIP lounge.
