As every year in May, the vintage car fair in Tulln took place again in 2018. This time for the 30th time - a jubilee event! Another tradition is the participation of the JDOST with a 100 m2 booth.
In addition to a cozy sofa incl. Supply of food and drink and the cheerful stand attendants, Jaguar technical delicacies will also be presented at the JDOST stand. Not only the fair celebrates its anniversary. No, the XK series from Jaguar celebrates its 70th birthday this year. Our contribution is the white Jaguar XK 150 FHC by Gerhard W. - a worthy crowd puller. The Jaguar XJ also celebrates 'laps' - 50 years XJ we honor with the XJ6 3.4 in British Racing Green by Heinz W. and with the XJ6 4.2 Sovereign by Andi I. The Jaguar E-Type Series 1 1/2 of Peter R. skilfully completes the picture. The fair weekend was one of the most successful for the JDOST: many interesting and valuable conversations lead to two new club members and about 10 interested parties who want to be further informed. Many of our members, friends and partners came to visit and enjoyed the stylish club stand. These were also the jury members attentive, which awarded the most beautiful club exhibition stands. With great joy and proud chest we were allowed to receive the prize for the SECOND place in the ranking of the most beautiful club stands - what a success and above all reward for the effort and the great team spirit in the preparation.
On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank our Chairman Wolfgang S. for the organization and its commitment - from Thursday to Monday daily in Tulln plus the preparations in advance! Furthermore with Peter R., Heinz W. and Gerhard W. for the exhibition vehicles as well as with all active supporters in the stand construction and dismantling and the stand maintenance on both days. It was again a wonderful, successful event that we like to remember!
