The vintage car fair in Tulln celebrated its 31st birthday in 2019 on the weekend of 18th and 19th May. JDOST had - as in recent years - again a stand in the context of this high-profile event.
Already on Friday, some members met already from 8AM to make the stand together - at 7PM was the end. The result was wonderful - JDOST got in the course of the classic car show much praise and recognition for the stylish club presentation. Three classic cars were on display at the stand: a Jaguar E-Type Cabriolet from Mrs. Hermine K. in Old English White, a Jaguar E-Type 2 + 2 Coupé from Mr. Helmut P. and a Triumph TR 250 from Mr. Christian P. A special attraction was this time a professional racing simulator with the software 'GP Legends'. Racing fans Visitors to the stand were able to test their virtual driving skills - a true joy for the young and the young at heart. Many thanks to Mr. Bernhard H. for the simulator and his support together with Mrs. Sharon W. During the two days of the fair many active and former members visited us as well as a lot of friends, partners and new interested parties. The flow of visitors was densest on Saturdays until noon - in the afternoon the crowd ebbed slightly. On Sunday, the crowds were manageable - but the individual people had more opportunity to inspect the valuable exhibits in peace. On Sunday, the stall began at 5:30PM. Regent and efficient action enabled a departure already at about 7PM.
The JDOST Board would like to wholeheartedly thank all those who helped with advice and, above all, help with set-up and dismantling, as well as stand support at the 31st Oldtimer Fair in Tulln and with the three members who provided their oldies. We let the beautiful moments of the weekend still have an effect and look forward to the 32nd vintage car fair in Tulln in 2020.
