The 15th Classic Expo took place this year from 18.-20.10.2019 in Salzburg. The JDOST board planned a club trip to this top-class vintage car fair. During the morning some JDOST members arrived at the fairgrounds.
The Classic Expo offered visitors a lot of interesting things. Dreamlike exhibits - including many Jaguar E-types and XK´s - from countless dealers, special shows organized by clubs (50 years Ford Capri, 60 years Puch Haflinger, 100 years Zagato, 60 years Mini, ...), a large-scale parts market and massive Vehicles in the halls for private sale.
A highlight of the day was the high-profile auction of the "Dorotheum" in which almost all the exhibits found a new owner. For example, a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing was auctioned for EUR 950,000. Also included were British classics such as Jaguar E-Type, XK 120 or Aston Martin.
The JDOST group was represented at the Expo by Karl and Eva R., Gerhard and Rosi P., Hannes and Ludwig S., Christian H. and by the JDOST board members Wolfgang S., Heinz W. and Andi I.
Partly together and partly individually we strolled through the exhibition halls and were able to absorb many fascinating impressions and to have good, exciting discussions.
The day we could end funny and cozy with an excellent dinner at the "Reiterhof Moos". Nice that here also Enikö W. and Roman K. of our sponsor Kaubek oil joined our illustrious round. At about 10.30PM was the end and it went home or to the nearby hotel in Salzburg.
It was once again a successful event that we would like to repeat next year - the next Classic Expo will take place from 09.-11.10.2020 in Salzburg.
