The Fantastischen 4 already sang “Summer - Sun - Sunshine” in their song “Let the sun in”. At the JDOST light barrier training on June 19, 2022, there was also 'wind' and 'broken battery', the latter being responsible for the delayed start.
Six teams met in summery temperatures in the Klosterneuburg industrial park to sharpen their sense for the car. Initially with two, later with three light barriers, times were specified that had to be adhered to with pinpoint accuracy. Amongst others, a Jaguar XK140 FHC and a Jaguar E-Type 2+2 were present, which underlined the vintage character of the event.
We were very happy that there were also two teams that were not (yet) members of the club. At the end five teams competed, which the team Stanzel/Nussgraber (Lotus Elises) won. Second place went to Brockmann/Icha and third place went to A.Fries with his co-driver. Fourth and fifth place went to Pertusini/Pertusini and Nussbaumer/Nussbaumer.
Until 4:30 p.m., everyone skimped on hundredths of a second, sweated and laughed a lot. An interesting, enjoyable event came to an end. Great anticipation for the next light barrier training spread.
