On Friday, September 2nd, 2022, we, the participating members of the JDOST Club, met in glorious weather at the Styrian Naturhotel Schloss Kassegg. Welcome, discussion, distribution of the bags and dinner together, "Styrian evening", excellent!
Saturday 3rd September Breakfast from 7.30 a.m., photo session, departure at 8.45 a.m. in the direction of "Burg Strechau". An adventurous journey begins for US! Can't describe it any other way, excluding all other participants. Strechau Castle was certainly interesting and worth seeing! just as impressive is the automobile museum! We drive on to the destination "Berggasthof Zottensberg" Lunch - 3 p.m. Departure, the beautiful Kalkalpen National Park mountain range, a few rain clouds but it stays dry! It begins a winding - tense ride - (free running chickens + cats). "Veitlbauer Genussmosthof" We were warmly welcomed + hosted, I'm enthusiastic about the company, what you can do with a product (apple)! It's hard work - perseverance behind it - the result is worth it! we have stocked up on a wide variety of products and continue towards Schloss-Kassegg! From 7 p.m. Dinner "Wild + autumn specialties I'm not a "dinner" but was enthusiastic about the selection + quality of the products. Then there was a campfire on the meadow, unfortunately the rain came!
Sunday, September 4th, breakfast and farewell to Kassegg Castle, - departure at 9:00 a.m. to the forest museum in Großreifling, very interesting, forest history and wood as a product, you could listen to the lecturer for a very long time! Continue to Mitterbach: now the "highlights" for our big "boys" come with the chairlift up to the middle station "Balzplatzerl" after lunch we went downhill with the mountain cart = who is the first to the finish! Some still took the chairlift to the mountain station. At the valley station there was a big "Hello" - Karl - first, Wolfgang - second, and everything was recorded in pictures! Another JDOST group photo and off we went at 3:45 p.m. through the beautiful Kalte Kuchl - further in the direction of Alland - into the Heiligenkreuz Abbey for dinner - coffee + cake, the autumn trip ended. We got to know a curvaceous, beautiful spot of our homeland - with wonderful weather!
