2-Days-Summerride 2012

"Organization team Schwoiser"

From the Wachau Valley through the except land Salzkammergut in the Vienna Woods

As the title already tells us, our organizers Claudia and Karl lay strongly once again in this stuff, to show us beautiful noodles in Austria. And what we all no, guess what, we assume, is that we will at the same time experience a culinary journey that will be a delight both gourmets and gourmands.

So we're perfectly announced, strengthened by an extensive (!), like in the Roadbook Breakfast at the Beach Café broken pointed on the Danube, to the first stage along the Danube upstream through the Wachau Valley, the Strudengau and the Mach country. After crossing the Danube shortly before Mauthausen's continued sunny South then quickly in the direction of (well, the "sunny" is now a little lie) direction Steyr and continue a few kilometres in the Wild West (the "wild" is perhaps a bit exaggerated) (that's right now but really) were bad Hall, where we refresh us with a lunch in the restaurant at Herzog Tassilo golf course.

Then we continued the Sun about Ried and Scharnstein until after Gmunden, where we then further South rolled along the lake Traunsee, always a little searching. But because the Upper Austrian Sun was very gschamig, it was also not bad that we made a bathing stop at the Lake. So, we showed the cold shoulder the ice-cold lake Traunsee and continued after bad Aussee to Lotus Club Austria, to learn that there are fine outside the Jaguar world of Bad Goisern. There is also a Slotcarbahn from the 60s, which decorates the cozy loft and is taken once again always during the week of the children in the man and the woman in operation was met with great enthusiasm.

Went further to it on the third and final stage of the day in the direction of Liezen, one of the highlights of the exit, the crossing of the Phyrnpasses, experienced (in the truest sense of the word). We moved to hotel Rössl in Windischgarsten, after we have supported local beer consumption on the main square with a small donation to Eve veseliye Rebyata. We have relaxed then some lean calories of not only liquid kind at dinner in the hotel's restaurant taken. We deserve but also that more than 300km away!

The next day we started already early after wild Alps almost located in the headwaters of the Viennese water, to visit the exhibition and the Museum to the Viennese high water supply sources. Before that but still demanding Stallion pass in the region wanted to be crossed national park limestone Alps. Better and correctly said we wanted (the will of the Stallion pass has not opened at least still us up). The very lively lead of an original wild Alpeners brought us the tale to the fabulous Vienna water closer, and we could bring back a bit of new knowledge from the exit of the home.

And there learn as you know hungry is, have we earned us truly a decent lunch! Because the Lord (our guide affectionately called) has seen tour guide so nicely on the clock we punctually arrived at Gasthof Greith in Gusswerk. And as usual has the prudent Mr don't forget travel conductor on the vegetarian-exotics in the round and have Gemüsiges - valuable as a small steak - on the menu. We all but in terms of calories not overdo it, we have valuable reporting information in time before the dessert, that we prefer to pack as this one should be in acquisition, because we expected a culinary highlight of the weekend next: the Issa Süßmeisterei in Sankt Aegyd am Neuwalde (in a disused and lovingly designed station building). The concentration while driving left happily burn us an and other calorie on the way there, so we there could give us and the ultimate konditormeisterlichen indulgence. Buchteln that fit onto a cake plate, homemade Schokotrüffeln and Käse(!) chocolates made our hearts jump higher.

So it not wondering us also that the Sun was now finally and the last stage of Hohenberg and Traisen, sweetened us eastward towards the Wienerwald. Inn to the old hunting lodge, we've had to finally finish off the wonderful exit at a dinner party (who still made it).

The Orga-team Claudia and Karl have given us 2 great days and deserves a special praise for the creation of the perfect Roadbooks. And if someone reading the text got the impression that the writer is like to eat, so he or she is right!

Kind regards Daniela P.
