On January 19th, 2023 the first club evening of this year took place in the Hotel Restaurant Panoramaschenke. At the same time, the regular general assembly was held and a representative of the ÖMVV delighted us with a presentation.
Wolfgang Schöbel welcomes all participants and explains the agenda of the club evening. Right at the beginning of the cozy get-together we were able to welcome Robert Krickl, President of the ÖMVV. Robert Krickl gave us a very interesting overview of the activities of the Austrian Motor Veterans Association (Governing body for historic vehicles). The highlights of the lecture were national and international lobbying, insights into the organization of FIVA and the current study 'Oldtimers in Austria 2022'. After that, Robert Krickl was available for questions.
In the second part of the evening, the JDOST General Assembly was held, with the following important topics being dealt with: the treasurer's report with a detailed explanation of the financial situation of the club, the discharge of the treasurer and the board by the auditor, the confirmation of the board members for the next two years , a preview of the activities planned for 2023 and the decision to increase the contributions from 2024.
With great pleasure, the board presented a photo book with a review of the JDOST events from the year 2022. Each member present was given a copy - memories of trips, visits to trade fairs and the like were shaken up and suitable anecdotes were exchanged.
In part three, there was a bit more information about Jaguar Land Rover, the presentation of the new club shop, where club clothing can be ordered online simply and easily, and a foray into the JDOST sponsors. We are pleased to welcome the company Vredestein as a new sponsor in our ranks.
The last guests of the club evening left the place well after 11 p.m. We are already looking forward to the next events, above all the club evening of our WEST section on October 26th, 2023 at the Heurigen Friesacher in Anif/Salzburg.
