2-Daysride JDOST 2012

Summarized by fam. Fleischmann

Dear participants of the trip and dear members inside of the Club!

The beginning we would like to thank all the organizers, Barbara & Wolfgang & Christian thank you, they did a great and everything was fine before organized.

But now our trip: On time all participants in Berg IM drautal agreed dinner at Hotel Glocknerhof arrived last Friday. It was a first "sniffing" for us as "Newbies" everyone else knew each other long ago.

On Saturday in the morning, a cloud heaven woke up not too big hopes for the experience of the Großglockner. After breakfast, there was the command output with a brilliant "Road book" the briefing took place and Barbara had prepared a "Stärkungssackerl" also for each participant. In bad weather, it was about Holy Blood on the Großglockner, but when we had crossed the crest line to Salzburg, the weather God, probably us Salzburgians was sake, hold: the clouds tore on and Franz Joseph height and sunshine was later also on the top of Edelweiß and mountain peaks welcomed us. At all halts, we were the center of attention and many photo was shot by our cars. A film about the Großglockner and then visit the car Museum formed the high point before lunch. However, thick fog concealed the view of all the peaks and poor visibility slowed the descent towards HEILIGENBLUT.

Through the Iselsberg went to Lienz and continue towards Sillian. Before the State line, we turned off in the lesachtal Valley to Obertilliach and Maria Luggau. A wonderfully beautiful high Valley with old farmers farms led us tolls via Kötschach back to our accommodation. Meanwhile, the sky cleared again and promised us for Sunday good weather. A stimulating evening at the hotel with the already sent photo of the participant will remain unforgotten. Here, it was also mentioned that the hotel team very supported us in the Glocknerhof and at the same time the hotelier family and evening presented a small collection of photos. A big thank you for this!

Sunday was called early goodbye's mountain, the next stop was the castle ruin Landskron near Villach. The birds of prey with the subsequent lunch at the castle was the time of thanks and the adoption before the coffee break in Vöcklamarkt. About Graz, Wiener then drove back participants.

The discipline of the participants, the punctuality and the harmony among the crew, a heartfelt thanks to everyone were particularly noteworthy.
