2 day- / autumn tour 2016

JDOST - autumn and final drive 2016 or

"A legend of castles, bears, forests, gripping, art and herbs"

Once upon a time...

... a group of brave warriors in their motorized chariot, who went out to conquer the unknown realm of the Woodquaters.

As in all previous years, also this season with the final JDOST ride coming their mobile end.

And already the 3.Male family Winkler took over the Organization of exit, this time as premiere itself equal to a multi-day trip, the us in the most beautiful late summer (autumn nothing is far and wide to feel!) led to the forest district.
On Friday the 23rd September the meeting point in the Castle Winery in Ottenschlag was already in the evening. The majority of the registered teams already arrived around 18:00 h and moved into the rooms of the castle to then turn in a superb dinner at the tavern. Here, a bag with the directions received well each present team (vulgo: Road-book) and various provisions, and enough water to survive the next few days in the wilderness. After ample consumption of regional specialities and exquisite liquid food companion from the Waldviertel (beers, spirits, juices, etc.) and the Wachau (wines), there to be still a fascinating slide show with impressions of the region around us the next few days. Petrol-driven, conversations, followed by beer and wine and how should it be otherwise the last left just after one o'clock to the tavern to get in the nearby quarter to short rest.

As agreed, the troupe met on Saturday from 07:30 h for common and cosy breakfast in the tavern to go after in the Castle courtyard. Only briefly interrupted by the opening words of Wolfgang Heinz, who informed about the programme of the day, we headed to 09:00 h to the first stage of the weekend. This led the caravan of 11 teams on winding roads to the first stop of the day, the bear Park in Arbesbach. Here were two other teams to do so and together the bear Park along with its furry inhabitants, freed mostly from captivity insults to, was extensively explored now. After a short break to strengthen and to plunder the souvenir shop, we boarded our now 13 chariot and steered the skin place of Weitra, on which we assigned a turned off our fellow by the Lord Mayor. The majority of the teams to the well-deserved lunch at the brewery came after a short greeting. A small portion spied a familiar costume fashion business but already on arrival and was to hide only under the promise of returning after taking lunch from this.
After extensive gluttony and followed by extreme costume shopping, you could continue the trip. Thaua people and the corresponding training area on winding forest paths and along a picturesque ponds, we went to Castle forest Empire, which we visited in small groups and then got offered a fascinating birds of prey. After extensive talks with the hawkers, we started the poppy Wirt in arm stroke. Once there were the vehicles parked photo just before the biggest poppy image of the continent and embarked on the road to poppy host. Here was to take a delicious supper and admire an amazing collection of poppy seed mills. Now came the last team of the day with a brand new Jaguar XE AWD to the troop.  Following the teams in small groups on the way back to the quarters in Ottenschlag went not to agree before a final trunk at the pastry shop connected to the district. So it was then that came after an extensive conversation about the experience of the first day, the rest to be earned again until after midnight.

Fresh and relaxed breakfast at the tavern was taken on Sunday and then started 14 teams, after information has been like on the previous day in the wonderful day.
The list of vehicles in the courtyard, as well as the departure of the teams was filmed by a friend of the organizers with a drone to General surprise and thus for the participants. Accompanied by the bright sunshine was now on fascinating paths to the first stop of the day. The open-air exhibition "Art compels rust" they moved us into its spell and inspired artistically minded talks. Then we went to Angelo where we visit the local village Museum together with the connected hundred water Museum direction Kamp. Here was also the last team to the Caravan and it was now closed (walk downThe applies to the convertibles! That could of course open drive) after Sprögnitz for lunch in the Guest House body food. After dinner, the visit of Sonnentor company was on the agenda. After a short film about the history of the company, there was a guided tour through the warehouse and production facilities as well, as by the me fear a visit to sale!
This was followed by the start of the last stage, which led us to weissenkirchen in der Wachau. There we were loaded with all our vehicles under the stern instructions of the Waterman on the local ferry and ferried into two groups on the other side. After we had again solid ground beneath the wheels of our Companion's was only a short walk to day and ultimate goal of the Winzerstüberl in Rührsdorf.
Here ended the trip with a superb last supper now unfortunately. There was much about the reputable and experienced chatted and to advanced hour, the teams went individually or in small groups in the direction of home.

To conclude I would like to welcome Maria and Heinz say thank you for the excellent organization and the excellent route.
And I would describe the selection of the local (portions) as excellent.

Thus: It was very nice and very liked us!

Thank you very much
Karl
