On Sunday, August 30th, despite different weather forecasts, some spontaneous Jaguar friends met from 9:00 a.m. in the Livios restaurant in Hainburg. After an extensive brunch in bright sunshine, the allocation of road books and drinks, 19 participants started at 11:00 a.m. towards Asparn an der Zaya. After a short time, the road book became absurd, as we were guided from one detour to the other.
Despite the unplanned route, we arrived punctually at 12:30 pm at the Mamuz Museum in Asparn Castle. There were already 3 other participants waiting for us, only the Schwoiser family could not take part in the tour because their Jaguar took a break on arrival. In Mamuz we took part in a guided tour in the open-air area, where we were given detailed explanations of the living spaces and working areas from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. After the tour, the Schwoiser family also managed to join the group and we drove on to the train station in Asparn.
From there we took the rail taxi up to the Draisinenalm Grafensulz at 2:50 p.m. 6 participants drove back to the train station in the rail taxi and the rest of the group drove back in 5 bicycle draisines driven by their own strength. After a short chase for some of the participants, they all arrived at the station safe and sound. The departure was then delayed because the Schwoiser family's Jaguar went on strike again. Despite a wide range of support and advice from the club members, the Jaguar could not be started. Fam. Schwoiser stayed waiting for the ÖAMTC and the rest of the group made their way through rain, sunshine and strong winds to the Berghotel Tulbingerkogel. There, all participants could enjoy an excellent dinner and end the day together.
