Forty-six participants gathered on Saturday, 13 December, at 5 p.m. at the Hotel Krainerhütte, where we were treated to punch, chestnuts and fried potatoes in the winter forest. While some engaged in conversation beside the fire pits, others tested their skills at tin can shooting and sandbag throwing.

From 6:30 p.m., Wolfgang Sch. and Werner Sch. presented the annual review with brief information on past events. Werner Sch. then received the anniversary pin for his 10 years of membership, and Wolfgang Sch. thanked Heinz W., Werner Sch. and Michael B. for their excellent cooperation this year. Finally, Alberto S. donated a fully automatic coffee machine to the club so that all supporters and visitors to the trade fairs can be provided with coffee again next year.

From 7:30 p.m., participants were able to enjoy a hearty four-course Christmas buffet with plenty of choice. Freshly fortified, Heinz W. took the opportunity to start selling raffle tickets for the many prizes that everyone had brought along. The raffle then began, with Karl Sch. and Wolfgang Sch. selling the prizes with great humour. The following participants were delighted to win the three main prizes, which were provided by our rally partners: Gerhard K. won one starting place at the Vienna Classic Days, George K. won one starting place at the Gerasdorf Oldtimer Classic, and Katrin H. secured a 50% discount on a starting place at the Grimming Gesäuse Classic.

The official part of the celebration ended around midnight, and since some of the participants were staying at the hotel, 18 people decided to round off the evening with a bottle or two of wine, which meant that some of them did not return to their rooms until around 3 a.m. On Sunday, everyone met for a hearty breakfast together at the hotel, and after many fun and stimulating conversations, the members set off on their journey home.

Many thanks to the staff at the Hotel Krainerhütte for the excellent organisation, the smooth running of this event and the friendly and attentive service provided by the service staff.
