Just in time for the start of the classic car rally season, the JDOST light barrier training session for interested parties took place on 12 April 2026 in the Klosterneuburg industrial estate.

A total of 16 teams took part. Four teams from the MG Owners Club Austria were also represented. Over eight practice laps and six timed laps, the participants were able to further refine their feel for the interplay between the track and time. Whilst some tackled the challenge with great ambition, for others the Olympic spirit was more to the fore. One thing, however, was palpable among everyone: the joy and fun of the event. Particularly impressive were performances with zero deviation from the target time – a big round of applause to the teams who managed that.

The course consisted of three light barriers. During free practice, participants were able to set their own target times and then check them against the measured times. In the final competition, however, fixed time limits applied. After intensive practice rounds, things got serious in the competition run: four runs decided the result – and the top performances were impressive.

The podium places went to: 1st place Team Bailer, 2nd place Team Pelz and 3rd place Team Winkler

We warmly congratulate the winners and wish all participants every success in the upcoming competitions.

The JDOST light barrier training session has once again established itself as a popular and well-attended event. The day concluded with a convivial get-together at the nearby pub ‘Einkehr zur wüdn Goass’, where participants discussed the day’s events and delved deeper into the technical details.
