On 17 May 2025, the 10th Mödling Classic took place after a long break.

There were 100 classic vehicles at the start. There were 4 teams from the JDOST, led by our president Wolfgang Schöbel with co-driver (in?) Michael(a!!) Brockmann (due to a typo in the registration list), which incidentally amused us all day, on Jaguar MKII, Team Brown with their beautiful E-Type, Team Winkler also came with the MKII 340, only the team Gerhard Kurzreiter and Andrea Wessely came with the Porsche 911.

Although the weather forecast was not so good and it rained heavily in the morning with a cold wind blowing around our ears, it got better as the day progressed. Sometimes the sun flashed through and so we were able to enjoy the really beautiful route through the Vienna Woods and the Rax-Schneeberg region. The special stages, mainly timing stages, were also very entertaining thanks to the good catering and gastronomy throughout the day.

At the end of the day: the award ceremony in the multi-purpose hall of the WIFI Mödling. Our dear Wolfgang Schöbel and his car commander Michael Brockmann won the City Grand Prix Mödling and 3rd place in the class classification for vehicles built up to 1960. Congratulations to both of them for their excellent performance!!!

Finally, we would like to thank Hannes and Irun Neuroth for organising the rally and, of course, the timekeeping team of Robert Krickl and his men and women.

We will keep the nice day in good memory and are already looking forward to the Mödling Classic 2026.
